MUTANANNY Playtest Revision 0.3


  • Gave more detail on the three established Dumps, adding dump sheets for each and fleshing out their VIPs and possible adventure hooks.
  • Removed active Blocks in favor of passive Poise bonuses. Despite the amount of detail poured into the block action, it was rarely used and perhaps a bit less satisfying in play than I had hoped.  Using passives as defense also makes initiative flow much better. It was an insteresting experiment but I think I knew this would happen. That's what playtests are for, right?
  • Mettle score is back to Concept + Motive, another casualty of removing active blocks. Armor is folded into Frame SoakThis also makes characters more survivable.
  • Mettle can now be spent on Surges, granting bonuses to attack or extra attacks.
  • Added guard cover and clarified types of cover and their interactions.
  • Numerous grammar and consistency fixes.
